We really like the four seasons in this upper part of the South
East, except for the humidity during the summer. RDU does not have
all the convenience of other large metropolitans such as San Francisco, NY
or Boston. It is a bit like Portland Oregon without the rain and
there are many great outdoor activities to keep us busy throughout
the year. Aside from hanging lose and shooting hoops with the kids.
We enjoy:

When the weather turns rough during the hurricane (yes we traded
in earthquake) season, we turn to our home theater, Wii, karaoke,
and reading.
Once a long while (when we save up enough frequent flyer miles),
we journey to more exotic places as such Aruba
or Hawaii. We did finally trek across America, at least the first segment, touring the Grand Cycle. We visited Grand Canyons, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
Hope to see places like the Glacier National Park, Yellowstone/Grand Teton, Alaska and Baja.
On rare occasion, whenever the forecast calls for 15-20knt during
the northeasterly or a passing tropical storm, you can find us either sail out at Indian Beach or Jordan
Lake. Dial for wind at 387-5969 anytime or see forecast/condition in your area or other vacation destinations.
